An Intro to the Tribe

Just over two years ago I lost my best friend, my college cat, Taffy. For a while I was very against the idea of getting another cat; I didn’t want to go through that heartbreak again. But then one day, my cousin sent me a text letting me know that a friend of hers had a litter of three kittens that were ready to be adopted. I had always told myself that if I were ever to get another cat, I would get two so they could have each other for company. But three? Could I handle three? I couldn’t just take two and leave the other one… So after a few days and a lot of thought, I decided to just go for it and take all three. Boy, am I glad I did. These three little critters love each other to death, even though they fight a lot (like human siblings), and they love me as much as I love them. So without further ado, here they are…

Tazkosti (aka Taz, aka Sir Tazkosti Poopy Paws) is my giant orange tiger who always looks concerned. This makes for very entertaining pictures and videos on Facebook.

Milacek (aka Mila) is the princess of the group, and the sweetest thing ever, if she chooses to show affection. Otherwise she can be kind of a typical cat; fairly standoffish and aloof. 20170512_190942814_iOS

And finally little Zyta. Zyta is my mountain lion. She’s the smallest of the three, but she doesn’t seem to know it. I didn’t know when I chose to adopt a calico that they were known for their bad attitudes, but I sure know now. If she decides that she wants your attention, she wants your full attention, and she will express her displeasure with her teeth if you dare to so much as look away from her. 20170617_015046702_iOS

Obviously, you all will get to know them better as this blog progresses. They are an integral part of my life, and are involved in about 95% of my stories. They are my nurses, my sources of comfort, my irritation, and my entertainment. I hope you enjoy their antics as much as I do.
